How much mulch is actually enough

Most beds we take over have about half of what they need.

Three inches blocks light. Two does not, and that is why the weeds keep coming.

Keep it off the trunks. Mulch piled against bark rots it and invites insects.

Refresh, do not rebuild. Fluff what is there and top up the difference.
