Picking a colour that still works in winter

The sample that looked perfect in July can look grey and cold in January.

Paint a big square, not a chip. Two feet by two feet, on two different walls.

Look at it at night under your own bulbs. Warm bulbs pull everything yellow.

North-facing rooms need a warmer shade than the swatch suggests, by about half a step.
