Repair or replace: how to tell
Three things we look at before we give an answer.
Age. Asphalt shingles here last about twenty years. At eighteen, repairs are money down a hole.
Spread. One leak over a valley is a repair. Leaks in three unrelated places is a roof.
Granules. If your gutters are full of grit, the shingles have lost their armour.
